ददार करजैरूरावेरकां कटकृद्यथा ॥१.

Meaning:
1: Fourteenth in the line (of incarnations), the Lord appeared in the form of
Narasimha (Man-Lion); and
holding the
king of the
Daityas (Hiranyakashipu) who was endowed with
great Power ...,

Thighs, he
tore him with his
Nails,
as if his body was a Straw Mat of
Erakaa grass
made by a
Plaiter.
