बिभ्रानासृक्कपालं त्रिनयनलसिता पीनवक्षोरुहाद्यादेवी
बालार्कवर्णा भवतु सुखकरी प्राणशक्तिः परा नः
Rakta-Ambhodhi-Stha Poto[a-U]llasad-Arunna Saroja-Adhiruuddhaa Kara-Abjaih
Paasham Kodannddam Ikssud-Bhavam-Alli-Gunnam-Apy[i]-Angkusham Panca-Baannaan |

1: (I Reverentially Bow down to the Devi of Prana Shakti) Who abides on a Red Ocean wearing Red Clothes which shine like the Red Colour of the Morning Sun; Who sits on a Lotus and with Her Lotus-like Hands hold ...
2: ... Pasha (Noose), Kodanda (Bow) made of Sugarcane and moreover having Intoxicating quality, Ankusha (Hook) and Five Arrows,
3: Who holds a Skull smeared with Blood, Who has Three Eyes Shining, Who has Full Round Bosom and Who is the Adya (Primordial) Devi,
4: Who has the Colour of Newly Risen Sun (Ever Fresh); May She, Who is Supreme and the embodiment of Prana Shakti give us the touch of Her Spiritual Bliss.
