कावेरी श्लोक - सह्याद्रिजा महापुण्या
Kaveri Sloka: Sahyadrija Mahapunya
Devi Kaveri
सह्याद्रिजा महापुण्या कावेरीति महानदी ॥
सप्तविंशमुखा प्रोक्ता सर्वाभीष्टप्रदायिनी ।
तत्तीराः स्वर्गदाश्चैव ब्रह्मविष्णुपदप्रदाः ॥
Sahya-Adri-Jaa Mahaa-Punnyaa Kaaverii-
[I]ti Mahaa-Nadii ||
Saptavimsha-Mukhaa Proktaa Sarva-Abhiisstta-Pradaayinii |
Tat-Tiiraah Svarga-Daash-Cai
[-E]va Brahma-Vissnnu-Pada-Pradaah ||
Meaning:
1: (I Reverentially Bow down to Devi Kaveri) Who has
arisen from the
Sahya Mountains and is endowed with
great Holiness; Who is
Kaveri the
great River,
2: Who is
said to have
twenty-seven Mouths or
Faces (Holy Centers on its Banks) and is the
bestower of
all Wishes,
3: That
Bank is the
bestower of
Heaven as well as the
Lotus Feet of
Lord Brahma and
Lord Vishnu; I Bow down to Devi Kaveri.
