Lord Vishnu slaying demons Tuhunda and Hunda

Manasarovar: Lord Vishnu slaying demons Tuhunda and Hunda:

(Aushanasa Purana - Vindhyachala Mahatmya - 13 to 14)

Meditation: I meditate on Lord Vishnu slaying demons Tuhunda and Hunda with the Sudarshan Chakra given by Lord Shiva.

Lord VishnuDemons Tuhunda and Hunda gaining great power through penance: Once there were two demons Tuhunda and Hunda who thought about the inequities between the devas and the daityas, although both were sons of sage Kashyapa. The devas were ruling in Swarga and were more powerful and affluent, while the daityas were residing only in Patala Loka. They determined that to gain power they need to perform penance. Therefore, the daityas went to Gandhamadana Parvata and performed severe penance, invoking Lord Brahma, reducing their bodies to mere skeleton. In this way ten thousand years elapsed. Lord Brahma became pleased and appeared before them. He granted the boon that they will not be killed by anything within the creation (of Lord Brahma).
(Aushanasa Purana - Vindhyachala Mahatmya - 13)

Tuhunda and Hunda conquering the devas: With the great power obtained through penance, Tuhunda and Hunda conquered the devas and drove them out of Swarga Loka. Tuhunda, who was elder became the king.
(Aushanasa Purana - Vindhyachala Mahatmya - 13)

Devas taking refuge of Lord Brahma: The devas then took refuge of Lord Brahma. Lord Brahma said that by his boon the demons have become powerful. Therefore, they need to go to Lord Vishnu, who will help them.
(Aushanasa Purana - Vindhyachala Mahatmya - 14)

Devas taking refuge of Lord Vishnu: The devas then went to Lord Vishnu in Kshira Sagara. Lord Vishnu said that he will find a solution to conquer the demons who has become unconquerable due to the boon.
(Aushanasa Purana - Vindhyachala Mahatmya - 14)

Lord Vishnu performing penance and obtaining the Sudarshan Chakra: Lord Vishnu then performed penance at Vindhyachala and obtained the Sudarshan Chakra from Lord Shiva.
(Aushanasa Purana - Vindhyachala Mahatmya - 14)

Lord Vishnu slaying demons Tuhunda and Hunda with the Sudarshan Chakra: Lord Vishnu then told the devas to assemble their armies on the shore of Lake Manasarovar and challenge the demons for a war. The devas sent their messenger to Tuhunda. The demons came to Manasarovar with their armies and a fierce battle ensued. Lord Indra challenged Tuhunda. When the demons started defeating the devas, Lord Vishnu told Tuhunda to either go to Patala Loka or face his Sudarshan Chakra. Tuhunda attacked Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu cut the heads of the demons with his Sudarshan Chakra.
(Aushanasa Purana - Vindhyachala Mahatmya - 14)
