Gaya: Lord Brahma trying to steady Gayasura:

(Vayu Purana - 106)

• Meditation: I meditate on Lord Adi-Gadadhara abiding in Gaya.

Lord Vishnu

• Lord Brahma fixing a sacrificial pole: After completion of the Yagna, Lord Brahma fixed a sacrificial pole in the Brahmasaras (to make the body of Gayasura fixed permanently). During this time, Gayasura started moving and Lord Brahma became surprised.

• Lord Brahma trying to steady Gayasura: Lord Brahma adopted various means to steady Gayasura.
- Lord Brahma brought the Dharma Shila through Dharmaraja and fixed it on the head of Gayasura. Even then Gayasura moved along with the Shila. (Story of Dharma Shila)
- Lord Brahma told Rudra and other devas to stay on the Dharma Shila and make it steady. The devas pressed the stone slab with their feet. Even then Gayasura moved.
- Lord Brahma went to Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu gave an Image of Himself from his body. Lord Brahma fixed that Image on the Dharma Shila. Even then Gayasura moved.
