Sri Krishna's flute captivating the gopis during the autumn season: Sri Krishna's flute captivated the gopis in the Vrindavana forest during the autumn season. During autumn season the Vrindavana forest was decorated with clear lakes over which lotus flowers grew. The cool breeze spread the fragrance of the lotus flowers in the surroundings. The entire Vrindavana forest with its lakes, rivers and hills resounded with the sounds of bees and birds. Sri Krishna was decorated with peacock feather on His head and blue karnikara flowers on His ears. His yellow garment shone like gold. He wore a Vaijayanti garland. Sri Krishna played His flute whose melody captivated the gopis. They glorified that melody. The peacocks danced when they heard Krishna's flute. The deers looked with love and affection. The wives of the demigods were filled with lust. The birds listened to the music with closed eyes. The river water became agitated and moved around in whirlpools. Their waves offered lotus flowers at the feet of Krishna. The living entities became stunned. The non-moving trees trembled with ecstasy. The gopis described the sound of flute of Sri Krishna in this manner.
