Mathura to Gokula: Sri Krishna sending Uddhava to Vraja:

(Srimad Bhagavatam - Skanda 10 - 46 to 47)

• Meditation: I meditate on Sri Krishna sending Uddhava to Vraja to get the news of Nanda-Yashoda and convey his message to the Gopis.

• Sri Krishna sending Uddhava to Vraja: Uddhava was a close friend of Sri Krishna and disciple of sage Brihaspati. Sri Krishna sent Uddhava to Gokula to meet his parents and then assuage the grief of the Gopis due to separation from him. Uddhava went to Gokula and met Nanda and Yashoda. They talked among themselves on the various deeds of Sri Krishna. Next morning the Gopis saw the chariot of Uddhava near the house of Nanda. Coming to know that Uddhava was the messenger of Sri Krishna, the Gopis expressed the grief that Krishna might have forgotten them after going to the city. Uddhava gave the message of Sri Krishna and assuaged the Gopis. Uddhava stayed in Vraja for some months and thrilled the residents there with his recitals on the glory and excellences of Sri Krishna.
