Sri Balarama incarnating in Mathura

Mathura: Sri Balarama incarnating in the prison of Kamsa:

(Srimad Bhagavatam - Skanda 10 - 2)

Sri BalaramaMeditation: I meditate on Sri Balarama incarnating in the prison of Kamsa as seventh son of Vasudeva and Devaki.

Sri Balarama incarnating: Sri Balarama was transferred by Yogamaya on the instruction of the Lord from the womb of Devaki (at Mathura) to the womb of Rohini (at Gokula). Hence Balarama is known as Shankarshana. Rohini was the wife of Vasudeva living with Nanda in Gokula. When Balarama was transferred to the womb of Rohini, the womb of Devaki was lost (i.e. appeared to have a miscarriage).

Sri Balarama Incarnation of Sri Krishna Krishna Janmasthan temple, Mathura, Mathura district, Uttar PradeshMathura - Sri Krishna Janmasthan or Sri Krishna Janambhoomi
(Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh)

Sri Krishna Janambhoomi is identified with the location of the prison of Kamsa where both Sri Balarama and Sri Krishna incarnated from Devaki.
