Sri Krishna assuming the form of the deity of the Govardhana Hill

Govardhana: Sri Krishna assuming the form of the deity of the Govardhana Hill:

(Srimad Bhagavatam - Skanda 10 - 24)

Sri KrishnaMeditation: I meditate on Sri Krishna assuming the form of the deity of the Govardhana Hill.

Sri Krishna assuming the form of the deity of the Govardhana Hill: Sri Krishna assumed the form of the deity of the Govardhana Hill when the cowherd men worshipped the Hill. Once the elders of Vrindavana were arranging for a sacrifice to please Indra deva to get rains. Sri Krishna told them to stop the sacrifice and instead perform the sacrifice for the Govardhana Hill, and for the benefit of brahmanas and the cows. The cowherd men agreed and worshipped the Govardhana Hill. Sri Krishna assumed the gigantic form of the deity of the Govardhana Hill and accepted their offerings.
