Bindu Sarovara - Penance of sage Kardama

• Meditation: I meditate on the Kapila Avatara of Lord Vishnu.

• Sage Kardama fulfilling the wishes of Devahuti: Devahuti served sage Kardama as a devout wife. Her service was so devoted that her body got emaciated during the service. Pleased by the devoted service of Devahuti, sage Kardama fulfilled her desire for pleasure and children. Through yogic power, he built an aerial palace for pleasure which can travel in the air. Then he told Devahuti to take a bath in Bindu Sarovara. While taking bath Devahuti found Gandharva girls attending her. Devahuti regained her original beauty and the Gandharva girls adorned her with various ornaments. Then sage Kardama took Devahuti for a pleasure trip to various places like Mount Meru, Nandan Vana, Chaitrartha Vana etc. After a long time they returned to Bindu Sarovara. Then sage Kardama had nine daughters through her by dividing himself into nine persons. After the birth of the daughters the time came for sage Kardama to leave family life.
