King Tondaman building temple structures for Lord Srinivasa at Venkatachala

(Skanda Purana - Venkatachala Mahatmya - 10)

Sr VenkateswaraLord Srinivasa giving further instructions to king Tondaman: While king Tondaman was building the boundary walls (while installing the idol of Lord Varaha) Lord Srinivasa instructed the king to preserve two trees - a Tintini (Tamarind) which is His abode and a Champaka which is the abode of Devi Lakshmi. Lord Srinivasa told the king to build temple boundary walls for Him with ornamented gateway. The Lord told that in future a king of the lineage of Tondaman named Narayana will build the Vimana and adorn it with gold.

King Tondaman building temple structures for Lord Srinivasa: King Tondaman built the temple wall of Lord Srinivasa and worshipped Him along with Vaikhanasas. Everyday the king used to come through the cave path and bowed to the Lord.
