Nilamadhava hiding Himself

(Skanda Purana - Purushottama Kshetra Mahatmya - 9)

Jagannath temple, Puri, Puri district, OdishaNilamadhava hiding Himself: After Vidyapati left for Avanti, a violent gust of wind raised the sands of the sea shore and submerged the Lord along with the Rauhina kunda. The devas were worshipping the Lord during that time. They became highly dejected and started lamenting. A heavenly voice told them to meet Lord Brahma and know the reason for this event. The devas apprached Lord Brahma. Lord Brahma told them about the future prediction when the Lord will take the form of wooden idols. The devas were satisfied and returned to their abodes.
