• About king Indradyumna: In Kritayuga, there was a great king named Indradyumna. He belonged to the Solar dynasty, and was the fifth descendant from Lord Brahma. His capital was Avanti in the Malava country. He was righteous, truthful and of good conduct. He looked after his subjects like his own children. He was handsome, brave, learned and charitable. He was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu and adored the brahmanas. He had subdued his sense-organs and anger, and was always engaged in devotional activities of Lord Vishnu.

• King Indradyumna enquiring about Lord Jagannatha: Once in an assembly of learned brahmanas and pilgrims, king Indradyumna asked his priest whether Lord Jagannatha visibly exists in any place. The priest asked the assembly of pilgrims there.
