Ayodhya - Papamochana Teertha

Ayodhya - Papamochana Teertha: (East of Rinamochana Teertha)

(Skanda Purana - Ayodhya Mahatmya - 2)

Lord Vishnu • I meditate on brahmin Narahari taking bath in the Papamochana Teertha of Ayodhya and becoming free of sins.

• A brahmin named Narahari fell in bad company and committed many sins in life. Once he came to Ayodhya in the company of some good people and took bath in a Teertha. He became free from his sins and went to Vishnu Loka. The Teertha became known as Papamochana Teertha.
