Flowers for Nanda Vrata

(Shiva Purana - Rudra Samhita - Sati Khanda - 15.19, 15.20, 15.22 and 15.23)

Devi worshipping Shiva
तपस्यासितभूतायां कृत्वा जागरणं निशि ।
विशेषतः समानर्च शैलूषैः सर्वयामसु ॥१९॥

Tapasya-[A]asita-Bhuutaayaam Krtvaa Jaagarannam Nishi |
Vishessatah Samaanarca Shailuussaih Sarvayaamasu ||19||

1: Sitting for worship and remaining awake all night,
2: She specially worshipped Shiva with Wood Apple fruits and leaves.

Devi worshipping Shiva
चैत्रे शुक्लचतुर्दश्यां पलाशैर्दमनैः शिवम् ।
अपूजयद्दिवारात्रौ संस्मरन् सा निनाय तम् ॥२०॥

Caitre Shukla-Caturdashyaam Palaashair-Damanaih Shivam |
Apuujayad-Divaa-Raatrau Samsmaran Saa Ninaaya Tam ||20||

1: On the Chaitra Shulka Chaturdashi She worshipped Shiva with Palasha and Damana flowers,
2: She worshipped Shiva all day and night and recited His names.

ज्येष्ठस्य पूर्णिमायां वै रात्रौ सम्पूज्य शङ्करम् ।
वसनैर्बृहतीपुष्पैर्निराहारा निनाय तम् ॥२२॥

Jyesstthasya Puurnnimaayaam Vai Raatrau Sampuujya Shangkaram |
Vasanair-Brhatii-Pusspair-Niraahaaraa Ninaaya Tam ||22||

1: On Jyestha Poornima She worshipped Shankara on the full moon night, ...
2: ... offering clothes and Brihati flowers; She observed fast during the worship.

आषाढस्य चतुर्दस्यां शुक्लायां कृष्णावाससा ।
बृहतीकुसुमैः पूजा रुद्रस्याकारि वै तथा ॥२३॥

Aassaaddhasya Caturdasyaam Shuklaayaam Krssnnaa-Vaasasaa |
Brhatii-Kusumaih Puujaa Rudrasyaakaari Vai Tathaa ||23||

1: On Asadha Shukla Chaturdasi She wore black clothes ...
2: ... and worshipped Rudra with Brihati flowers.
