Naimisharanya: Lord Narayana sending Chakra:
(Padma Purana - Srishti Khanda - 1)

•
Lord Narayana sending Chakra: I meditate on
Lord Narayana sending a Chakra to identify the holy place of Yagna for the sages. The sages performed a long-running
Satra (Yagna) in Naimisha Kshetra by worshipping the Lord.
• In Prayaga, on the bank of river Ganga, the sages devoted to Dharma asked Sri Bhagavan for a holy place. Sri Bhagavan set in motion a divine Chakra with a beautiful
nabhi (navel) and said that the Chakra was devoted to truth, auspicious and endowed with power. Follow the Chakra by performing the sacred rites. Wherever the
nemi (rim) of the Chakra will become
shirna (weak) (and the Chakra will fall down), that is the holy place. Saying this Bhagavan disappeared. The sages followed the Dharma Chakra whose
nemi (rim) became weak at Gangavarta and the Chakra fell down. Then the sages started performing a long-running
Satra (Yagna) in Naimisha Kshetra by worshipping the Lord.
