Parashurama saving a brahmana boy who becomes his follower

Himavan: Parashurama saving a brahmana boy who becomes his follower:

(Brahmanda Purana - 25)

Lord ParashuramaMeditation: I meditate on the Parashurama Avatara of Lord Vishnu.

Parashurama saving a brahmana boy from a tiger who becomes his follower: When Parashurama was returning, as fate would have it, he saw a brahmana boy fallen in a cave being chased by a tiger. Parashurama created a missile out of a kusha grass with mantras and killed the tiger. Being saved, the brahmana boy said that he was the son of sage Shanta and while visiting holy places lost his way and pursued by a tiger had fallen in that cave. Since Parashurama had given him new life, he considered him as his father, mother, preceptor and everything. The brahmana boy was named Akritavrana and since then he followed Parashurama like a shadow.
