Parashurama going to the origin of Ganga and propitiating Sri Krishna
Ganga Udgam: Parashurama going to the origin of Ganga and propitiating Sri Krishna:
(Brahmanda Purana - 37)

•
Meditation: I meditate on the
Parashurama Avatara of Lord Vishnu.
•
Parashurama going to the origin of Ganga and reciting the Krishna-Premamrita stotra: Parashurama then went to the place where river Ganga originated from the footstep of Lord Vishnu. There, he built a hermitage with Akritavana and practised the Krishna-Premamrita stotra. Lord Krishna became pleased and appeared before him. Parashurama eulogized the Lord. Lord Krishna said that Parashurama had achieved his work. He can kill Kartavirya Arjuna and make the earth devoid of kshatriyas (who had became haughty). Kartavirya Arjuna was an incarnation of the Lord's discus and his work was over. After that Parashurama will move about as the Lord charged with a part of the Lord's energy. Parashurama will be performing appropriate works at proper times. In Treta Yuga, the Lord will incarnate as Sri Rama with four Vyuhas. During that time, Parashurama's work will be over and the Lord will take back his splendour.
