Sri Brahma

• Sacrifice of Lord Brahma: Once Lord Brahma desired to create moving and non-moving beings. He performed a sacrifice on the Devayajana mountain. Thereafter the mountain came to be known as Brahmagiri Hills after the name of Lord Brahma.

• Hermitage of sage Gautama: There, sage Gautama built his hermitage. That meritorious place was free from mental worries, physical ailments, famine, fear, grief, poverty and misfortune.
