Forests - from Valmiki Ramayana

  1. Tataka Forest: Sri Rama visited the Tataka Forest with sage Vishwamitra and slayed demoness Tataka.
  2. Chitrakoota Forest: Sri Rama stayed in the Chitrakoota Forest during his forest exile.
  3. Dandakaranya Forest: Sri Rama spent around 10 years in the Dandakaranya Forest and visited the hermitages of various sages and eliminated the demons.
  4. Panchavati Forest: Sri Rama stayed in the Panchavati Forest during his forest exile.
  5. Janasthana Forest: Sri Rama searched for Devi Sita in the Janasthana Forest region. This was also the place of demons Khara and Dushana.
  6. Krauncha Forest: Sri Rama searched for Devi Sita in the Krauncha Forest.
  7. Kabandha Forest: Sri Rama searched for Devi Sita in the Kabandha Forest and encountered demon Kabandha.
