• Sri Rama visiting the Pancha Apsara Lake: Sri Rama visited the Pancha Apsara lake during his forest exile after visiting the Suteekshna Ashrama (first visit). From that lake was emanating melodious songs and music. Sri Rama heard from sage Dharmavrita the story of sage Mandakarni marrying five Apsaras and living within that lake. (After this Sri Rama stayed in various hermitages of sages in Dandakaranya for ten years).
