• Sri Rama meeting Jatayu: Sri Rama met Jatayu on the way to Panchavati. Jatayu told about his lineage, mentioning about the dynasty of sage Kashyapa. Jatayu said that he is a friend of Dasharatha and offered his service of protection to Devi Sita in the forest. Sri Rama gladly agreed and took Jatayu with him.
