Vidyapati crossing Ekamraka forest

• Vidyapati crossing Ekamraka forest: Next morning after performing the daily rites Vidyapati set out on his chariot contemplating on Govinda. He crossed river Mahanadi. Then he came to villages inhabited by Vedic brahmanas. They were of great splendour and performed yagnas. The villages were adorned with Areca Palm trees. Thereafter Vidyapati passed through the Ekamraka forest.

• Vidyapati becoming overwhelmed with devotional mood: While crossing the Ekamraka forest, Vidyapati saw people holding conch, discus, club and lotus. Seeing the emblems of Lord Vishnu, Vidyapati was overwhelmed with devotional mood. He felt that he has taken a new birth with divine form. He got down the chariot and fully prostrated on the ground. His eyes were filled with tears and he felt the presence of Vishnu everywhere.
